Education, learning and workshops
Antique Dances offers tailor made contemporary and ballet linked workshops and classes, plus in-depth dance residencies that provide participants with a practical insight into dance, fitness, training and the artistic form.
Access to the work of Antique Dances through various workshop and class activities aims to nurture the existing skills of the participants involved. We aim to develop self-confidence and promote a basic understanding of dance and fitness regardless of ability or previous experience.
Antique Dances looks to develop long-term partnerships within education, the community and with arts organisation's to help bring dance to a wider audience.
Workshops and classes will be run by the artistic director and company dancers of Antique Dances in either Ballet or Contemporary.
Workshops are aimed at students of all levels and can begin with basic technique and creative classes to more advanced classes and workshops including company repertoire.
Activity can be tailor made to suit each group of students and can include:
- Two hour repertoire-linked workshops
- Full day workshops (4 hours)
- Residencies from two to five days incorporating class, creative exploration, repertoire and talks
