Holly Noble

 

Founder & Artistic Director

 

Holly trained at The Arts Educational School in Tring and at Laban Conservatoire in Greenwich specialising in Ballet and Contemporary. Holly has had a diverse career in Theatre, TV and Film working as a freelance dancer, choreographer, actor & teacher. Holly has worked with various choreographers such as Ashley Wallen, Lynne Page and Michael Voss, as well as working with Sadler's Wells, the BBC, Channel 4, H2 Dance, Iris Theatre and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Holly has also worked with National Youth Music Theatre and filmed commercial campaigns for Samsung, T-Mobile and Thompson Holidays. Holly has also been a Dance Artist for Sadler's Wells and most recently choreographed for the opera Dido & Aeneas and the play A Midsummer Night's Dream.

 

Holly founded A.D. Dance Company in October 2009 and their first performance was at Resolution! 2010. Since then the company has performed continually all over the UK & Scotland, with performances at Glastonbury Festival, Exeter New Cygnet Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, MDI Leap Festival Liverpool,  and Covent Garden. Most recently the company performed their first full-length production with a five night run at the Kings Head Theatre in Islington, gaining exceptional reviews for the company's choreographic style and outstanding technicality of dancers.

At present the company is about to start work two new pieces to be toured next year. The first piece will be choreographed by company member Brett Murray and the second piece is to be a collaboration with the Docklands Sinfonia Orchestra.

 

As well as running A.D. Dance Company, Holly has also founded Platform A.D, a twice yearly choreographic platform which aims to present the best in UK & International choreography. Started in August 2010, the platform has been gradually building a reputation within the dance world and is fast establishing itself as a relevant showcase of up and coming choreographers.  Produced and direct by Holly, the platform has so far presented work by James Wilton, Tempered Body Dance Theatre, Joss Arnott Dance, Stewart Kennedy Dance Theatre, Exquisite Corpse Dance and James Finnemore and many more.
